Treehouses
Built over a wooden frame and Smooth-on’s Free Form AIR
The elven treehouse replaces an old prop, elven mailboxes. Similar to the mailboxes, the Elven Treehouse consists of four compartments, key props are placed in the appropriate openings on the left and right sides. Encoded RFIDs in each of the props are responsible for opening the maglocked doors on the front of the treehouse.
Initial stamping of bark texture into epoxy dough
The mold used to create the original trees was repaired in order to be used on this project. I did so by cleaning it and then laying the pieces into a fresh pour of silicone, and used bark pieces to replace missing sections, which resulted in a larger, thicker stamp.
